Overseas agency purchases from October 1, 2026: JR Group raised ordinary-class nationwide pass prices sold through overseas JR-designated agencies by about 5–8% (for example, 7-day ordinary adult from ¥50,000 to ¥53,000). Source: JR Pass official price page.
Official online reservation: The Japan Rail Pass Reservation service temporarily kept pre-October ordinary-class prices for a limited period after the agency increase. Online and agency prices are not the same channel—compare both before you buy.
